Burlesque 101: Beginner Burlesque Series

Burlesque 101 is an eight-session series of classes designed for beginning burlesquers and starting strip-teasers. Whether your goal is public performance or private provocation, Burlesque 101 will arm you with the tools you need for devastating disrobing.
The class series is co-taught by Salomé Cabaret cast members, established performers with years of stage experience, both burlesque and otherwise. This mixture of instructors will provide you with multiple perspectives on the art of the tease, allowing you to find your flavor without the bias of an individual instructor's preferences. Class format varies by topic, and includes movement, lecture, and demonstration. Come in comfortable clothes (dance wear, yoga gear, etc.) that don't restrict movement. Comfortable heels are encouraged, but are not required. Hoodies and scarves are great for the rehearsal of garment removal and boa work, but are not needed for all sessions. Includes full semester of eight classes, for students that opt not to participate or are undecided on participation in semester-end recital. (Workshop sessions and inclusion in semester-end recital can be added at a later date if desired.)
Package 3: $25 per class/session
